Jurnal Ekonomi dan Perbankan Syariah is a scholarly journal published by Islamic Banking Department, School of Islamic Economics STEI SEBI The JEPS journal has been issued since 2013 and it’s have published twice in a year in April and October. The journal has been publishing scholarly papers since 2013. Starting in 2018 onwards, we encourage authors to only submit research papers written in good-read English academic writing. The journal is designed to provide a forum for researchers or academicians and also practitioners who are interested in knowledge and in discussing ideas, issues and challenges in the field of Islamic economic and banking. To solve the problem of the ummah and to provide the solution for the gap between the theories and practices. The scope or coverage of this journal will include but are not limited to Islamic economics, Islamic business, Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, Islamic wealth management, issues on shariah implementation/practices of Islamic banking, zakat and awqaf, takaful, Islamic corporate finance, shariah-compliant risk management, Islamic derivatives, issues of Shariah Supervisory Boards, Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze The  Influence of  Mudharabah Financing as the dependent variable (X) To The Return On Asset (ROA) as independent variables (Y1) and Return On Equity (ROE) as independent variables (Y2), of  The Sharia Rural Banking (BPRS) in Indonesia in 2017-2018. This analysis used 106 BPRS that are made as a sample. The data sources used are secondary data sources from reports on financial publications of each Syariah Rural Banking at the OJK. This type of research is quantitative with Cross Section data method. The analysis technique used is the Eviews 10 for students. The results of this study indicate that Mudharabah Financing has no significant effect on the Ratio On Asset with a regression coefficient and a significance level of 0,16more than 0.05. While Mudharabah Financing  has no significant effect with the regression coefficient of  0,16 with a significance level 0,00 less than 0.05

Abstract

This study aims to see the factors that cause murabahah financing to be non-performing financing. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method using literature study data. The results of the study are the factors that cause Non-performing financing murabahah financing in the Risalatuna Jasa Cooperative in Padang City due to the Risalatuna Jasa Cooperative (internal factors) and the customers themselves (external factors). The Islamic law review of the settlement of Non-performing financing murabahah financing at the Risalatuna LKMS Jasa Cooperative is following the principles of Islamic law, because in handling Non-performing financing, the Cooperative Jasa Risalatuna LKMS takes precedence first, providing facilities and debt relief.

Abstract

Baitul Maal Hidayatullah Yogyakarta is considered a grass-root entity that has an obligation to provide stimulus during the pandemic and improve the welfare of its members during the Covid-19 pandemic. The financial reports in order to increase credibility and its role must be maximized. The research will have the aim of knowing the application of the internal control system in the cash receipt and cash disbursement cycle and identifying the weaknesses and strengths that have been implemented. This study used a descriptive research method using a factual approach and also journals as literature and conducting observations and analysis at the Baitul Maal Hidayatullah Yogyakarta and conducted a qualitative study. The results of the study measured 5 aspects of the application of internal control in the cycle of cash receipts and disbursements according to COSO at the Baitul Maal Hidayatullah Yogyakarta, namely 1) control environment, 2) risk assessment, 3) control activities, 4) information and communication and 5) monitoring. From these results, it is concluded that the implementation of the internal control system in the cash receipt and cash disbursement cycle of the Baitul Maal Hidayatullah Yogyakarta Mosque has been going well, in line with the identified strengths and weaknesses. Weakness points such as managing using basic applications can potentially be developed further.

Abstract

This study aims to determine empirical evidence about the effect of profit sharing financing, sale and purchase financing, FDR and NPF on the profitability (ROA) of Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in Banten Province. The type of data in this study is secondary data using panel data. The research object was five Islamic Rural Banks in Banten Province and research period from the first quarter to the fourth quarter of 2013-2019. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used is Panel Data Regression Analysis with Eviews 10 software. The results obtained in this study indicate that there is no significant influence between the Profit Sharing variable on Profitability (ROA) partially. Sale and Purchase Financing, FDR, and NPF variables partially have a significant effect on profitability (ROA). Simultaneously, Profit Sharing, Sale and Purchase Financing, FDR, and NPF have a significant effect on Profitability (ROA).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the cognitive perception, affective perception, and conative perception variables affect the people’s interest to become customers of Islamic banks in Bekasi City. It uses quantitative methods. As it uses the Slovin formula, the number of respondents was 100 out of a total population of 320,984 non-Muslim community in Bekasi City. The data analysis in this study adopted Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach and the data was processed using PLS 3.0. Based on the results of the data analysis, cognitive variables and affective variables do not have a significant effect on the people’s interest in becoming customers of Islamic banks in Bekasi City, while the conative variables have a significant effect on the people’s interest in becoming customers of Islamic banks in Bekasi City.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the antecedents of the philanthropic behavior in the Jabodetabek community in the era COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative study consisting of 2 (two) variables used, namely exogenous and endogenous. The population in this study is the Jabodetabek community with 400 samples of respondents. The data analysis method used is the partial least squares structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) individual factors on philanthropic behavior in this study do not have a positive and significant effect, (2) organization factors on philanthropic behavior in this study have a positive and significant effect, (3) social factors on philanthropic behavior in this study. This has no positive and significant effect.
